Yorkville Approved the Rezoning and Variances Sought by Northpointe Development

At the Tuesday, November 28th City Council meeting, the board approved the rezoning and variances sought by Northpointe development to build a multi-unit senior apartment complex. Fox Hill Senior Living will be a three story building on 3.43 acres, located at the southeast corner of Route 34 and Sycamore Road, in Yorkville. This 55+ age restricted facility will have 48 apartment units. Northpointe has secured financing from the Illinois Department of Housing Authority (IDHA) and qualifies for affordability incentives. Several residents from the Fox Hill subdivision attended the meeting and voiced their concerns during the public comments. They had concerns about the building profile and how it would fit the community landscape.
