BKFD Fire Chief James Bateman Placed on Administrative Leave

The Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District Board unanimously voted to put Chief James Bateman on administrative leave, effective immediately at the Thursday, October 12th meeting. A motion was also made and approved to temporarily appoint Assistant Chief Jeremy Messersmith to fill the vacancy. The room was packed with citizens and firefighters who supported the board’s decision.
