Yorkville Facing Fourth Price Increase on Contracted Purchase of Dump Truck

Yorkville staff is recommending approval of a fourth price increase on the contracted purchase of a single axle dump truck, originally ordered in March of 2021.  The increases are due to material shortages, labor shortages, supply chain issues, price increase in microchip processors, surcharges, production inflation, and document, title, & plate fee increases.  The original price for the cab and chassis was $93,533. After the price increase of $36,394, the truck will cost the city $129,927. The truck is scheduled to be built in July of 2023.
