What is the Future of Solar Facilities in Yorkville?

What is the future of solar facilities in Yorkville? The Economic Development Committee (EDC) will have a discussion on potential policies, guidelines, and location preferences at the upcoming meeting on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023. Staff has issued a memo to the (EDC) Committee from the American Planning Association Planning Advisory Services (PAS) to assist with the discussion. The memo is dated September/October 2019. Yorkville has seen several petitioners approach the City regarding solar projects in 2023. Staff is looking for direction for future inquiries.
