Kendall County Board District 1 Candidate Zach Turnbow Abruptly Resigns as Kendall Township Trustee

Kendall County Board District 1 Candidate Zach Turnbow

After coming under fire for failing to meet residency requirements, Kendall County Board District 1 candidate Zach Turnbow has resigned as Kendall Township Trustee. Kendall Township Supervisor Steve Gengler and Kendall Township Clerk Steve Grebner received and officially recorded Turnbow’s resignation letter on October 17, 2024. Turnbow served as Trustee on the Township Board for at least a year while failing to meet residency requirements by relocating outside of the Township. Although County records indicate Turnbow purchased his Bristol Township property on November 21, 2022, the Kendall Township Supervisor concluded that Turnbow moved outside of the district on September 20, 2023, based upon the date the owner occupied exemption was applied to his Bristol Township property. On October 22, 2024, Turnbow reimbursed Kendall Township $980.33 in compensation for Board meetings attended between October 2023 and October 2024.

Turnbow was elected to the Township Board during the 2021 consolidated election.

Zach Turnbow did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
